Not a huge Denny fan, but I think he hit the nail on the head here describing the truth of how NASCAR has set up a rule structure that incentivizes insane, desperate, ridiculous moves like this. Ditch the green-white-checkereds, ditch the gimmicky stages and playoffs, and let's get back to real racing.

What is more obscene is the manufactured yellow between the 47 and 41. That was the most scripted wreck in front of the leader I have ever seen. NASCAR didn’t want Dillon to mess with the script.

Do you remember Denny hooking Chase Elliot at Richmond. Joey spun the number 20 at Kansas and Nascar president had no problem with it.

Blame it on the playoff system and overtime finishes…Dillon had it bagged before the caution and made sure he didn’t get screwed by overtime.

i love how the nascar officials got mad at logano for speeding in the pits but just let that take out slide for the win. they started placing even more rules in the sport 10 years ago but still have not addressed this
