Eric Trump has opened up about the assassination attempt on his father in a rare in-depth interview with the Telegraph.

In a wide-ranging conversation, he also spoke about how Kamala Harris has changed the dynamics of the US election campaign.

Mr Trump dismissed criticism of his father by the UK's foreign secretary David Lammy and spoke about his - and his wife's - political aspirations.

    On January 6th, four insurrectionists and five police officers lost their lives, and 140 police officers were assaulted. In total, 1,265 Trump supporters have been charged, with 213 pleading guilty to felonies and 505 pleading guilty to misdemeanors. Sentences have ranged from 2 to 22 years. On May 28th, 2021, Senate Republicans blocked a proposal to establish an independent commission to investigate the events.
