Syrio is such an excellent teacher. He doesn't reprimanded Arya for not wanting to practice, but still manages to get her into the lesson. He wants to take her mind off her troubles for a little while and imparts wisdom to her so she can learn how to stand even when she can't

Syrio is from Braavos, A master fighter, and you never see him die. He is definitely a faceless man.

I hear a metal sword hitting the floor and the sound of many men screaming, not the sound of a wooden sword or a dual between two men. it sounds like death, the death of many.

For me the most telling thing that Syrio might actually be Jagen are these two lines of dialogue directed towards Arya. Syrio- "There is only one god and his name is death" Jagen- "There is only one god and a girl knows his name"

Syrio is not dead. If he was killed, George R.R. Martin would've detailed every single gruesome part of his death just to piss off even more GOT fans.
