I'm a city carrier and I'm happy to be paid hourly instead of salary. Otherwise, management would just adjust the routes so that we'd have 12 hours of work for 8 hours of pay. As it stands, we get time-and-a-half after 8 hours and double time after 10 hours.

The best presentation on the subject I've seen so far. Very straightforward and organized.

I just started as RCA and pay is now $19.94 I’m scheduled usually sat, sun + 1 day but more if needed avg about 30 hrs/wk, hardest in the beginning is learning the route and driving in mountain roads.

Hi I just had my background cleared and my orientation is next week, I'm very excited, my brother has been a city carrier for over 10 years he told me it took him over 6 years to become career employee, also the manager at the office I work at said it took her over 5 years, but she said the way things are now, people are becoming career employees in a out 1-2 years, so I'm very excited about that and looking forward to this career.

I'm considering more of CCA route since getting laid off.
  • I think a lot depends upon whether the rural location is near where you currently live

    Just walking by...🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️
  • I got my conditional offer yesterday so I’m in the process now. Very excited about the opportunity. I used to work as an armored courier and I get the mindset behind a lot of the courier type jobs. I’m hoping this will be about the same. My only concern is making sure I can work enough days to support my family. I don’t mind working 6 days but if I get less than 4 idk if I would be able to sustain it. Just one of the questions I am gonna ask! Great video though.

You think you can make a video of in depth things like these topics that you've been answering to? Lol I'm so confused by what I can and can't do and what management can and can't do. And what my career looks like. I've been RCA for 2months now. I'm about working and if I'm not on schedule, lol I just show up anyway and do clerk work like distributing the large amazon boxes. And like explain how different pay things work. Lol I know I sound confusing, but that's the thing, I'm confused with all these I guess rules of how things work

Hello David, does the Post Office offer Tuition Reimbursements and do they support people who are attending college or university?

Thanks for the video, good info. is there a video or information that I can look at and study regarding how to case? I will be starting orientation in a couple weeks and I would just like to have a heads up before I get there.

Hi~ Thanks for good information. I got conditional offer yesterday and waiting for the next process. Can I refuse to work on Sunday for religious reasons?
  • Hey David. Really enjoy the videos. So I’m 52 in pretty good shape. Was curious if I am too old.

Hey i applied for 3 positions… rca and 2 caa… the 2 cca’s say pre hire and the rca I just did finger prints… I really want one of the cca’s but just to get in should I take the rca? My score was a 78 so I ain’t gotta chance at some seniority

As a new RCA do you start the 15 yr top pay scale, or can I be stuck only collecting COLA raises for several years and after making full time regular career do I start the 15yr top pay scale?
