I remember bitching when Rich Gannon was signed back in the day.
  • It would be awesome of Gardner Minshew could play like Rich Gannon did once he became a Raider!

Literally only Raider fans would throw a hissy fit about the team signing a Pro Bowl QB haha. Some of us just live with our finger on the panic button. Gardner is a baller, he's a Raider. I've said this about him even when he was in college. I live in Seattle so the local sports radio talked about him a lot and apparently he never expected to be a starter, never expected to enter the draft, he wanted to be a coach. He wanted to go college and be a QB so he could learn from great coaches. He's also a competitive guy, so he ended up doing pretty good in college, good enough to make the pros and get some work done. What better veteran presence in a QB room than a guy who is comfortable being a backup, is competent enough to be a starter, has experience and loves coaching? Seems like a perfect situation to me. Plus, the guy's swagger reminds me too much of Stabler to not love him. haha. If we draft a rookie in the 1st, then I'm sorry but AOC won't be the long term starter. He miiiiight be the starter this year, but it would only be to let the rookie red shirt and wait for a while. But the first round QBs in this draft are older than normal, have more experience than normal. So they'd probably be day 1 starters IMO.

I enjoy your opinions, but, you really need to drop the Utah hat and rep some Silver & Black. ☠️
  • Everything will be said after the Draft: O'Connell, Minshew or the rookie, it will be a very interesting offseason in Las Vegas. Excited like I haven't been in a long time for the start of the season

Minshew beat Oakland in the last game in Oakland, then torched Las Vegas last year! He has kicked our ass in multiple locations, with different teams! I like the pick up! 😂😂
  • Stockton to Malone was my most favourite phrase as a " blast from the past ".

Bro your not alone! I TOOOO think AOC will be our starting QB next season 😝

Gardner is just as good as Carr. So not sure why ppl didn’t like the signing given he isn’t coming in as the clear starter. Imagine having Carr as a backup. No complaints there. Also I think if AOC can perform in the regular season the way he did in the preseason, he’ll be a top 5 qb in the league. He has all the tools in passing and will only get better reading coverage. If he can just get a tom Brady level of mobility and pocket awareness. He’ll be 🔥

Yikes. That cool-aid is strong lol. Sorry but Aiden won’t be much better this year. The main reason, the lack of a running game. I’m still not over it. I just watch zamir career reps and it really sucks that we are stuck with him. He really isnt good. No wiggle, no vision. All his does is get the ball and run straight as hard and fast as he can. Often times in the back of lineman. Letting go of Jacobs will kill our offense this year and make it THAT much harder for any QB we have this year succeed. And to top it off, Aiden isn’t somone who can take this team to the next level. QBs are either trucks or trailers. They can either pull a team to wins or have to be carried by the talent around them. And the team isn’t so loaded to make a meh QB be great. Just my opinion.
  • My thing with AOC is if he beats minshew and whatever rookie they bring in, then he is the best on the roster and deserves to start. No complaints should be made. Jimmy was handed the spot, Carr earned it but never had to compete to keep it. This is good in my opinion.

I think there is some truth to your perspective and we Raiders fans can be emotional obsessed -and feel deprived of winning-so the all the trigger are there! I do agree we will have more depth at the position and it will be exciting to see how it all shakes out ! Win , Lose or Tie Raiders till I Die!
