The day of the IT outage "was going to be the busiest day since 2019 for flights from UK airports," says Simon Calder, travel editor at The Independent.

Talking about one passenger who was told by her airline she would only receive a refund for her cancelled flights, Mr Calder said: "It's very clear what the rules are. The airline has to get her to her destination as soon as possible."

Customers should demand that corporations fire CrowdStrike and hire a better firm that tests their software updates completely. Corporations should also look at replacing vital systems with linux, not that linux can't have problems but not all your eggs should be in the Microsoft basket.
  • Example of allowing your network windows computers to be run from a central Administration source rather than being able to allow users to rollback to a known working back up held on your own private network by a network administrator in your own building

the IT outage yesterday was caused by microsoft windows allowing crowdstrike's falcon sensor to access a reserved space of memory within windows operating system at the kernel system driver-level which deals with processes between hardware and software. a lot of it is automated at the user-end level but someone at microsoft gave the go-ahead for the memory access violation to occur (accidentally or intentionally) which would send the operating system into a blue screen because crowdstrike had attempted to access a memory address which is reserved for microsoft windows itself but it's easy to blame crowdstrike, now imagine if this code had been accidentially implemented at the nuclear level instead of the kernel level..

This is the fool who allegedly tried to encourage people to get on aircraft during the pandemic. Sorry he lost all credibility to me.

Joker. Spouter of worthless opinions. He usually blames any travel difficulty on Brexit.

What would happen if the outage happened while the plane's were in the air ?

This guy finds local political or natural disasters to be a hindrance to his travel arrangements anyway.Lol

I am not a conspiracy type, but ever since I heard about Solar Wind ~(the company) I am skeptical, this could be North Korea.
