  • Tony Hawk Pro Skater deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Superman has one of my favorite lyrics ever. "So here I am getting older all the time, looking older all the time, Feeling younger in my mind" I live that. Middle aged with a Mohawk and still going to punk shows \m/

Rediscovered them during Covid and can honestly say they helped my mental state a whole lot
  • I'm proud of you for not showing your bias against Ska in this video

I remember reaching out to Goldfinger a loooooooong time ago as a fan. I received a response that was so gracious and kind. These guys are great humans on top of being great musicians.

I just used for find it hilarious that Darrin the drummer for Beyond Death (who later became cannibal corpse), was in goldfinger.

Don't forget that the pizza hut big new yorker pizza came with a ps1 demo disk at the time. It had spyro and Tony hawk on it . Tony hawk was only the first level with superman playing in loop. We stayed up all night playing that demo. It's literally my first experience with the song. I'm willing to bet alot more kids discovered it the same way.

Man, their first album is still in regular rotation and has never left. Beginning to end, it's so good and a little bit of everything is in there for everyone. Hang ups is no slouch either, but that first one is pure magic.

I took my buddy Aaron to see Goldfinger for his 21st bday back in the early 00’s. They were playing at small venue in Portland. I think Dante’s but it’s been a min. Anyway we are right against the stage and Aaron is professing his love for them rather loudly. They pulled him up on stage he said it was his birthday and all he wanted was to sing Mabel with them, they totally let him. Fucking greatest concert memory.
  • John Feldman is definitely invited to the barbecue in my book. I'd have vegan hot dogs just in case he showed up.
  • John is truly a gem. Those early Used / SOTY records were something special.

Goldfingers "live" sets during the pandemic were amazing and just what the world needed., fun, positive music. Been a fan ever since the Pro skater days and im glad they still rocking.

Driving down PCH blaring Goldfinger, Sublime, Buck O Nine, Reel Big Fish etc etc in 1998 at 18 years old being free and young was all you could ask for. I’m 45 now and if I could have a Groundhog Day to relive over and over it would be any day from 1998. When they dropped the Superman quarantine video a few years ago it was a highlight and something my soul needed.

The strange history of 311 we're all waiting for.

Damn, you know times are tough when Finn McKenty makes a video on a ska band.
  • Been a fan of Goldfinger since the 90s. Rught along with MXPX. The fact that Mike is now part of Goldfinger while still leading MXPX is awesome.
  • Goldfinger will always live on in my heart from "SUPERMAN" in Kingpin, 1996 movie Edit: great song to play when you gotta flee the scene
