Scripture: Matthew 6:14-15 (NIV)
Speaker: Dr. Sabrina J. Ellis

Throughout the scriptures, the command to forgive others is clear. So it is obviously a big deal to God — but that doesn’t mean that it’s easy. Our ability to exonerate others of their wrongdoings flows from our understanding of how God constantly does it for us! Remember that resentment fosters pain and anger and hinders your relationship with God. Forgiveness sets you free.

Forgiveness is powerful. And so is praying for the person who has offended you and hurt you. Praying for them will help you to forgive and be at peace again. It’s a journey, and a process. Be gracious to yourself in that journey ❤

Absolutely! Forgiveness is all about releasing negative emotions and finding peace within ourselves. When we forgive someone, we let go of anger, resentment, and the desire for revenge. It's not about condoning the actions rather freeing ourselves from the burden of holding onto grudges. Forgiveness can have profound effects on our mental and emotional well-being. It reduces stress, improves our relationships, and promotes overall happiness. It allows us to move forward, grow, and learn from our experiences. It's a powerful act of self-care and self-love. It's important to remember that forgiveness is a personal journey.
