    It's not for the ball. It's for the coupler. The coupler will wear down eventually if no grease is used

    That was a waste of time I’ll never get back. Metal to metal yeah it needs grease, common sense tells you that.

    ANYTHING that has metal to metal contact needs to be greased periodically. Period! Common sense.
