I'm with her. I don't want a public funeral or viewing. If they didn't care enough to see me when I'm alive they don't need to see me dead

Rest in peace, sweet girl! You showed 1000 kinds of bravery helping people like myself going through stage four cancer. Now we’re lost without you.

My wife died of cancer. She said she did not want any kind of gathering or ceremony for her. I told her that it was not really for her. It was for all of us, struggling to cope with losing her. And this changed her mind. My eyes are leaking now. We all go. It's just not easy to deal with.
  • I remember in junior high writing a fan letter to Shannon Doherty. I got her address out of a book that had a bunch of address’s so people could send fan mail to their favorite movie star. A few weeks later I received a post card with her picture on it and she signed the back with a big heart. She has such beautiful handwriting. I wish I still had her autograph. I moved so much as a kid, I lost so many special things. Anyway, I love Shannon Doherty and I’ll never forget my postcard.

I volunteer at a hospice and I firmly believe she is mentally preparing herself for whatever outcome. Shannon is dealing with the difficult topic of death in a logical, healthy, and brave manner. Shannon is going out on her terms, mad respect! I do hope more people start having the conversation about death with their loved ones, it’s inevitable experience and better to be prepared in terms of talking about any final arrangements or wishes.

I knew this moment was coming but I knew I would never be ready for it. Shannon I loved your spirit, some called you difficult but I saw a fighter, I will miss you forever I hope you're not in pain anymore RIP always.

  • I've been sick with cancer for quite a few years now and have had this conversation with my adult son and I know he found it traumatic. But it has to be discussed when you have a catastrophic disease. Hang in there Shannen!

  • She's amazingly strong. I'd be falling apart way too soon in a battle like this but not her. She's amazing. God bless her.

This isn’t fair. Listening to the woman who I watched and grew up with planning her funeral. It’s wild. Just reminds you, we don’t have forever. ❤

I understand completely how she feels. I have a progressive illness and will most likely die before I want to. Having planned out my exit, and organized everything financial gives me a sense of control and peace. It helps me to not feel like a victim. I pray for her, myself, and everyone that is fighting this fight.
  • @Lookdownhereiam
RIP 🪦 She was so brave. Proud of how she handled herself.
