We envy birds their mastery of the air, watching them enjoy the freedom of a 3 dimensional space. Flight allows them to get to hard to reach places and preform aerial acrobatics in protecting home ranges and searching for food. But it’s not always easy – it takes a lot of effort to graduate air school and there is a new bunch of cadets arriving all hoping to get their wings.

There are different techniques for enjoying the air; the Andean condor is one of the largest flying birds. Its broad, 3 metre wings catch thermals – hot air that rises from the mountains, to glide effortlessly for hours. It hardly ever needs to flap. The tiny hummingbird on the other hand flaps 90 times a second and must feed constantly to power their highly energetic flight.

I feed them like there's no tomorrow, couldn't believe swans were native to Canada, retired biologist brought some eggs back from Alaska and a team of volunteers brought them back in Ont., lady who lives by the water wrote you hear them all night and it's fabulous! Love from Montreal, I'm a chick forest technician majored in sylviculture, let nature in your yard it has nowhere else to go!

The bird's homebuilding skills are absolutely stupendous. The bird has to find a site, "shop" for building material, architect, construct, refine. Just one bird, sometimes a pair. And the courting ritual can seem so hilarious because they are "just birds" afterall. Animals are the "children" of the human world and the architect of 'life on earth.' And these birds are skillful at everything that they need to do. Except read our signs. Thank you kind fisherman who fed the cranes fish during tough winter months of Japan. The cranes simply enjoy the dance, to dance. The Iron Giant eats metal. And our vehicles eat fuel. There is no hunting involved, and no "death" as a direct result. If you eat vegetation there is "death" involved, but no suffering or regret of the eaten.

Воробьи мило купаются в воде и чистят перья купаясь в песке.
