I dont care how expensive it is. How comfortable the matress is. How many fancy gadgets its got. If it cant keep you warm and dry. Its a piece of junk.
  • @GoXplr
Thats a $4200 hardshell rootop tent that leaks ?? Thats gotta be a hard sell for them .... cool vid though
  • Thanks for having me out Casey. The weather turned sour on us but we still made the best of it.
  • @Spamfordayz
My Walmart special Ozark Trail tent has kept me bone dry on many trails in Colorado up to 12,000 feet and lots of Rain. 😂 That's crazy a high dallor tent like that leaking. Send it back on a warranty.
  • @cowelk
Wow! I am glad I now live in Arizona and don't have to deal with rain all that often. I tent camp and for years when I lived in the Midwest it always rained when I was camping. I have been to Victoria and it is a beautiful place, especially in the summer when the sky is clear. It is so green. Thanks for bringing me along to the sound of water on the beach and on the river.

Gretchen doing all the cooking is so sweet! Yall are lucky to have such a cool friend!

If you’re looking at just replacing the rtt, check out 23 zero, they make some nice looking quality tents. Sounds like you’re almost in need for a GFC topper tho. Safe, dry, secure, accessible, with rtt.

Gretchen is cool. Always good to see her on a video. Bummer about the flood. OIIIIIIIO
  • A friend recently used his Condor at NC outer banks in one of the hardest rains I have ever camped in. Rained several inches over a couple of hours. Folks in ground tents flooded and had to bail and ride it out in cars. Strong gusty winds accompanied rains. He stayed dry in the Condor.

Wow, it looks like the weather was something else, and looks like maybe the rooftop tent wasn’t up quite to the task. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for talking me out of spending thousands of dollars on a roof top tent!
  • @atomneely
I know you have a lot of nice gear and that crazy truck, but your videos feel the most like an everyperson's kind of trip. Very approachable and fun to watch!

I put sticky carpet tiles in my rooftop tent. Helps insulate so you don’t get all the condensation
  • @WanderingTrail
Loved the RC car flying by behind you when you were on the beach checking out the ocean.
  • @erikcele1604
What a nice place to camp even if the Rainer came! Thanks for the Nice video! Kind regards Erik from Sweden

Yes unfortunately condensation is an issue always due to the heat build up inside and the cooler weather outside - like how windows in your house will get moisture on the inside on a cold night. I’ve found those little containers of moisture absorbing pellets work a treat in my canopy box - may pay to try a couple in there. Only $3 at our dollar stores here in Sydney Australia. 👍👍
