  • I miss these guys. Best quote I ever heard about this band was that each album was just long-enough to enjoy at full volume, but short-enough to be over before the police arrive.
  • Every time I watch Joey being interviewed, I always get the impression that he was a really nice guy.

you know how i know they were a great band i was 18 in 1982 and my dad was a country lovin trucker and i left a ramons cassette in ihis truck by accident. the next day he went on a run and when he came back he knew all the words to the whole album. he asked me if i had any other tapes
  • He was so intelligent. I was blessed to actually meet him a few times due to a drummer friend. He was a super nice guy.

The gentlest of souls make for the greatest punk rockers.

One of the most influential bands in rock history. Their music never gets old.

Man, how can you not just love Joey Ramone, even if you don't like the Ramones. Very genuine and friendly.

These guys were so "no frills" and totally brilliant live. It was like a 30 minute Tsunami experience seeing them live. Great band!

“We were screaming out for help”….. Joey was simply amazing and ironic guy.

Joey was such a funny guy. One of the things that drew me to The Ramones was their wonderfully twisted sense of humor.

This aired in 99. They said they started the punk scene in 74 - 25 years. Talked about it like it was ancient history. This aired 22 years ago.
  • @jackcade68
Howard Stern in his mid 80's era totally adopted Joey's look.

I saw Patti Smith in concert shortly after Joey Ramone died. She gave a heartfelt tribute with a cover of Be My Baby because Joey Ramone loved Ronnie Spector. It was a genuinely touching moment.

it always hurts me to see interviews of him, because i see how nice he used to be. i was born in 2002 and it’s sad for me.. i wish he knew how talented and how loved he was, more than what he thought
  • I hate the fact that all of the Ramones are dead. They were the one of the greatest bands of all time.
  • @occupied1111
So crazy to think he died less than two years later and never did go back on Conan. Rip Joey 🙏🏼🔥🤘💖😍
  • @etherospike3936
Plot twist: They aren't dead, just returned to their old planet !
  • @johnny-r
Joey was the absolute coolest guy in rock and roll. And zero attitude or superstar bullshit. Just Joey, take him or leave him.
