My favorite spectator sport is watching people react to Jinjer's "Pisces". This NEVER gets old.
  • @HF-dw6nx
2:42 "that is low for a female singer" and I was like oh boy you're in for a treat šŸ¤£

"Two different voices and two different songs" The Zodiac sign Pisces, from which the song is named, is two fish. So the split in the song is a reflection of the Zodiac sign. The whole song is really clever and gorgeous and I LOVE the imagery used.

Watching people react to Pisces never gets old!

Seriously, professional-vocalists-react-to-Tati is a whole YouTube genre all by itself, and you absolutely did not disappoint. I think your reaction to hearing her start growling is right up there with The Fairy Voice Motherā€™s. Thank you so much for all of your excellent analysis! I learned things today, and that makes it a very good day.
  • "I want to see how deep she can take her voice..." Famous last words. [Gets dragged into Hell's sub-basement] šŸ˜‚

Tatianna is Ukrainian and speaks 3 languages. English being the third. It is amazing how sharp her lyrics are in a third language. Your reaction was one of the best I have seen from classical vocalists. Even her growls are just so clean and crisp.
  • Tati is for sure one of the top growlers in metal. If you'd like more, Perennial live at Wacken is a good one. Her technique is so freaking good. Growling is highly technical and she's so impressive. Love the reaction!
  • @AllHailZeppelin
ā€œIt sounds like the singer has really nice access to her lower chest rangeā€ ā€¦.yeah, you could say that šŸ˜‚
  • @cbreezy1221121
As someone who just saw them live last week, I can confirm that Tatiana sounds that powerful in person as well
  • @Aedelmar
"I've been never been more off-guard" - I guess that's the perfect reaction to hearing this the first time!
  • @sebrinalilje8057
Next, you need to look at the one-take of Judgement & Punishment. Live vocals in an improvised booth during lockdown.

See the look on Elizabeth's face when she watched this. I think this performance started her down the road of investigating these type of vocalists. This was basically live with a few overdubs. See a Jinjer live performance, like "Perennial" at Waken to see what she sounds like in that situation. Elizabeth also has an interview with Tatiana.
  • @miniHAWKTTV
Have always said that Tatiana is the 'cleanest' growler. Her growls/screams/harsh vocals - whichever you wish to call them - are so easy to understand. JINJER is a band I always use to try and get my non-metal friends to listen to in order to hopefully get them into it for that exact reason. She's so easy to understand, even for those who don't listen to this stuff every day-all day like me.
  • @joturna1
The ending part always gives me pure goosebumps, cuz she switches so easily between her primal evil voice to the mother of all angels
  • Jinjer is amazing, her switching between super harsh and clean vocals is insane. Glad you got to see this one first.
  • Just saw her live. Sheā€™s the real deal. Best concert and sound Iā€™ve ever seen and heard. Check out Whoā€™s Gonna Be the One. Live. Her deepest growl near the end. Tatiana is a badass!
  • @MetalHeadReacts
Seeing other reactors make that face when she brings in the harsh vocal never gets old.
  • Aren't they incredible? Not just Tatiana, the whole band is at the top of their game. Drummer went to a fancy music school and studied piano, he's fantastic.
