Just a FYI...you can put the ACV on it (several times thought out the day) when you feel the tingling and I promise it won't even form! You don't have to wait until it begins to blister although treating w/ ACV after the blistering is affective also...oh and NEVER put any type oil on it! cold sores love moister. Your goal should be to keep it DRY, DRY, DRY at all cost! One more thing if you are experiencing oozing after blisters have formed then take a Q-tip and apply cinnamon directly to it (coat it) and it's going to dry that sore out within hours, significantly reducing the appearance! For anyone who has or had a cold sore and if nothing works. TRY KETCHUP, yes regular any brand of ketchup put a dab on it throughout the day, and the itchy or tingling sensation goes away, and it heals the cold sore faster, I used it first thing in the morning when the cold sore was present and I dab ketchup on it through out the day, and by the end of the day it decreased, and the next day it was gone.

Vitamin E also works amazing. The minute you feel tingling break open a vitamin E capsule and put the oil on your lip and you won’t get it at all. If you get the cold sore put it on and it will go away in a day or two instead of a week or so

I find that when you get that tingly feeling on your lip that tells you the cold sore is coming. If you dab alcohol on the area the cold sore will stop. If you don't have medical alcohol then use whiskey or whatever strong alcohol is available but you should always keep medicinal alcohol in your medical cabinet along with apple cider vinegar.
