  • Can we just talk about how talented Katelyn is?? Literally had never done it before and after a bit of practice absolutely crushed it!!
  • @boredbird3725
we *CANNOT* just ignore how katelyn entirely SLAYED the soldering, with that little practice to that perfection, ROUND OF APPLAUSEEEE
  • As someone that does stained glass, the copper tape is not what holds things together, it is the solder. The tape allows the solder to form the channels that hold the glass. That's one of the reasons why you want a thicker bead of solder, because the solder is making a frame that is holding the glass. You guys did a GREAT job!
  • I took a stained glass class at a local glass studio years ago. For $200 I got 4 hours of instructed studio time and learned how to cut, grind, and design glass. And if I messed up, which I did a lot, I remade pieces as needed. Having an actual teacher was crucial to me and I loved every minute of learning this skill!
  • The overly dramatic transitions in the SquareSpace ad are perfect! 👌🏻😂 The whole segment I was bracing for the ‘shattering’ transition because I KNEW it was coming!
  • Pro tip: solder follows heat. So if you want it to follow a line like that you can heat up the surface with your iron before you put solder down. And then when it flows it'll follow your line a little easier
  • I always love how Evan has no patience for cheap art kits that don't have or do what they're promised. He will call it like it is lol. Also, y'all's advertisements remain unmatched. I love how both of these turned out, but especially Katelyn's cat!

I want a relationship like Evan and Katelyn have, they're kind and compassionate with each other, and aren't afraid to get silly and have fun with each other. They're fun to watch because you can tell they care for and respect each other and GENUINELY enjoy spending time together ❤ thanks for an awesome video, brightened my day

I’m a stained glass artist and I’ve also loved you guys for years!!!! So excited to watch this one!!!
  • @kkronkk
It would be super fun if you guys tried your hand at hyper realistic cake decorating next!
  • The way Evan supports Katelyn is legendary, he is the sweetest kindest most supportive husband. He's always like "baby don't worry it's your first time doing this and I think your doing a GREAT job!"
  • I'd love to see you guys do a cheap versus expensive crochet kit or knitting kit. I have a lot of friends who picked up the hobby during quarantimes and it seemed like there were some pretty vast differences in "beginner" kits across the board. Love your stuff!
  • @Moch_ila
you guys are the only ones who make me not skip sponsor sections 😂 that was amazing 😂😂😂
  • Was literally CRYING-laughing at the ad 😂 Y'all perfectly captured that overdramatized soap opera vibe 👏🌹💃

I love this! My dad taught me how to do this when I was a teenager. Fell in love immediately! Helpful tip if you want to do it again, my dad would cut out the pieces of paper of the stenciled design and he’d spray glue them to the glass. They’d stay on while you cut them and even grind them and the paper washes right off with just water when you’re done grinding. Permanent marker works on the glass as well, but it sometimes washes off when grinding because of the fluids and your fingers wipe it off. All around love this and I hope you both continue creating more now that you got the hang of it. Can’t wait to see Jubee in her spacesuit. I know you can do it😉

Can we appreciate Katelyn's great Memey editing skills? That GTA reference when Evan got called out killed me XD The subtitles for Even trying to muster a comeback were spot on. <3
  • One thing I’d like to add is that mosaics might even be a good starting point to see if you like working with glass before trying a project like this! You can use a wider variety of materials (tiles, broken glass, cut glass pieces, etc.) to make your design, and a variety of techniques to give the effect that you want! You can make see-through faux-stained glass mosaics in something like a picture frame or on a variety of surfaces if you want to make your art opaque. Though related, Mosaics are their own special art and would be cool to see you guys tackle in the future! You can get really creative with the designs! (Safety is number one, so make sure no matter what, when you’re working with glass, ceramic, chemical agents, machinery, or other tools — always be safe and use the necessary protective gear!)
  • As a stained glass artist, I love to see others trying the craft out! You guys did a great job for your first time! 😁
  • @aliaungst1174
Fun video! I agree with Even about finding a local artist who has the materials. There are lots of artisans who have studio hours or classes where they let you use their tools and materials for the cost of the glass and studio time.
