No debate here. The bad guy has been always John Kreese. Johnny is only misguided.
-
The real bad guy is the one who is holding season 3 from being released!!!

“No such thing as bad student, only bad teacher.” -Mr. Miyagi
-
I feel like the actor who plays Johnny has a lot more personality in real life.
-
Daniel's daughter caused more than 50% of the problems in Cobra Kai
-
I had a feeling they would say “It’s whoever you want it to be”.
-
I feel like they're both good guys with human flaws
-
Daniels not the bad guy. He just isn’t the good guy. His dark side is revealed and Johnny’s light side begins to grow. They are the same guy and will meet in the middle.
-
I would agree with kreese being the bad guy. As there is no such thing as a bad student only a bad teacher
-
Johnny is not a bad guy in his heart. He's just the bad boy. A rebel.
-
The true bad guy is.....Eisenhower for starting Vietnam war. Making Creece crazy.
-
I feel that Johnny has grown much more than Daniel, Daniel can’t get over Cobra Kai

This show's sooo good. Why is it sooo good??? All the characters are soo cool and relatable.
-
The show is just ridiculously good, far better than anyone ever thought it could be. Everyone involved should be so proud of what they've achieved so far.
-
For someone who is stuck in the 80s, Johnny sure knows how to rock them Airpods
-
Maybe the real bad guy was the friends we made along the way.
-
They all have their moments of being pricks... which is why I love this show. No one's perfect, just like in real life.

Daniel and Johnny are basically the yin and yang of each other, they're soul brothers, they just don't realize it yet. Johnny is the "tiger" and Daniel is the "Dragon". The Tiger is symbolic of the physical world, while the Dragon signifies the mental and Spiritual world. I google it..Lol

I think this story is meant to show there are more sides than just good vs evil. Daniel has done a lot of good in the show, taking in robbie, teaching his students to be peaceable. He also shows bad qualities: obsession, refusal to let things go or think differently, but most if not all of those behaviors are induced by trauma, which is realistic. On the other hand johnny shows some promising qualities, wanting to change cobra kai, taking in kids who are considered "losers". That being said he has some serious self confidence issues when it comes to kreese. Giving up his dojo too easily, flying off the handle and getting into petty fights, not being there for his only son. This story isn't good vs evil like the old karate kids, it's about realistic people who have issues trying to cope and get along, doing what they believe is right. We see many times in the show that while daniel and johnnys teaching methods are vastly different, more often than not they achieve the same result and are both effective.
