A little bit of a learning curve to the older games, but they're really fun to play.

Your first Souls game experience will always be your most special, even if you end up loving a different game more down the line. I'll never forget getting cursed for the first time, beating an infamously tough boss with the very last of my consumable healing items, or that time I accidentally stabbed my pyromancy teacher in the face. Dark Souls 1 in particular has a certain je ne sais quois that later games lack, in that there are a metric ton of secrets, obtuse quest progression, and easily missable stuff that I'm sure people will be tripping over each other trying to bring to your attention, but for the sake of making the most out of a single playthrough, especially on-stream, there is one thing that's important to know. There exists a pair of mutually exclusive NPCs related to (but not required for) the game's two endings. One of them appears relatively early, the other much later on. Talking to either of them even once will make the other disappear from your playthrough. For content's sake, as well as getting a greater understanding of what's happening in the world around you, I think it's best to hold off on engaging with them until the time is right (and you'll know). The words of Bennett Foddy echo in the back of your mind: do not talk to the snake. (paraphrasing) and don't you dare go Hollow \[T]/

Dark souks 1 still has my favourite map design of any soulsborne games

So many sweet memories popped up when I saw Calli playing this wonderful hard game. Seeing her explore the world of Dark Soul and experiencing the trials that all souls players faced. It was neat to see her reaction to the well-beloved NPC of Sun bro and Onion bro. Also, it was neat to see the good old technique of backstab help her kill Havel. So neat to see her beating Taurus Demon second try. Ahh... such neat nostalgia, especially the reaction to the male character moan from being hit..... I know she said never on the emoji but I still wish for it like many of the other Dead Beats! Thanks for the wonderful stream and have a nice sleep! :_deadbeats::_deadbeats::_deadbeats:

This was so fun! :_deadbeats: Dark Souls 1 is another one of my all-time favorites. It was my first foray into these kinds of games, and it has a very special place in my heart.:_hearteyes: I love it's level design. It's some of the best ever. It does show some signs of age though, especially when compared to the likes of DS3 or Elden Ring. :_boomer:

Dark Souls 1 is probably my favorite in the trilogy so I'm really glad you're enjoying it so much. Despite how different the combat is, your skills from Elden Ring are really showing. Its a shame you can't play online, but its understandable with the lack of security in the older titles. Seeing you react to iconic scenes like the firelink elevator reveal is awesome and I can't wait for more. Looking forward to the next stream and to the rest of the trilogy one day!
