  • WB needs to lean into the fact that they can corner the market on R rated superhero movies. They have the perfect cast of characters for it, plus it would allow them to stand apart from the MCU and offer audiences something different.

It’s amazing what can be accomplished when you give the filmmakers more than six weeks to write the screenplay

I miss Milton, he effortlessly made us care.

I love how Gunn reformated the typical "crew assembly" scene in the beginning by killing off the extras and THEN providing us with the main cast
  • @DarkFactory
James Gunn surely added a lot of depth to the main characters than the first movie. I even felt sympathy to Starro at the end.
  • Imagine having a character that controls rats, putting her in a movie with names like Idris Elba and Margot Robbie, with some major charisma and personalities in the mix and STILL create the most stand out character. Adored her character and the actress' work in it.

Best part. I literally cried laughing in the theater. Peacekeeper: "I've got a clear shot on the only one in the building." Shows a housekeeper with virtually no threat xD John Cena found his character.
  • The line at the end when starro said " I was happy just floating in the sky staring at the stars" got to me. I genuinely felt bad for him after finding out he was tortured by the U.S. government for 30 years so they could create some kind of alien technology. Who could blame the guy for being pissed off?

Let’s just say what it is. James Gunn knows The dynamic of the characters he’s working with and is really good about putting a lot of characters on screen.

I've honestly forgotten what Jeremy's rating scale is because we've had mostly stinkers or average movies this year
  • @rowni
Seeing Taika as the "Rat King" during that flashback is one of the most wholesome moments
  • Sylvester Stallone as King Shark is the casting choice we didn't think we needed.
  • @bloodCount8895
The best scene was when the SS kill most of the Rebels not knowing they were friendly and helping rick flag.
  • @astonsin5570
One of the most underrated jokes in the movie was a small line in the beginning of planning to invade Jotunheim after Rick Flag asked them who ate all the empanadas, you can see from the corner that King Shark toss aside a food wrapper
  • @kevorhode
Best quote: "He's harmless, well not harmless he murdered 27 children" why is that so funny
  • @jetscreamer1
James Gunn have turned me into a Ratcatcher 2 fan. She is adorable and the heart of the team.
  • @CBright7831
We've come to the point in comic book movies where a giant blue and pink starfish is the main antagonist of a film and everyone is on board with the idea and accepts it. I like that.

SPOILER I actually cried when Flag died. He really cared about his team and doing what is right. His friendship with Harley was so adorable. I wanted them to be kick ass buddies until the end
  • margot robbie as harley quinn is absolute perfect casting. even in the past if the movies aren’t great she is
