After the battery is turned on, you can safely turn on the inverter. • Connect the solar panel wires at night. This will ensure that you are never handling high voltage. • The 24V battery can only output 2400W! And the 48V battery can output 4800W. I should have mentioned this. If you need more output capacity, you need to add more batteries in parallel. • If you wish to add another battery, connect it in parallel with a second set of battery cables (google search "parallel battery connection"). You simply connect the positive of one battery to the positive of the other. And negative to negative. • If you have more than 3 batteries, you should add a T-Class Fuse. This is a special type of fuse that will disconnect power regardless of how many batteries you have connected. Connect all of your batteries in parallel, then connect the positive wire to a t class fuse. Then connect the other end of the t class fuse to the all in one system. • If you have to put your solar panels in parallel groups (to keep the voltage down), you can avoid the use of a combiner box by using inline MC4 fuses. They take seconds to install and will protect your array from problems. Furthermore, use a MC4 branch adapter (any will do) to connect the parallel strings together. • Be sure to use the solar panel calculator (listed in video description as well) to calculate what voltage your solar panels will produce. This is the only difficult part of this system. Every solar panel has a different voltage, and how you wire them up will change their voltage. • @robertallencad1
I'm a 53-year-old dude who got into this one year ago and because of you I have succeeded in stellar fashion. Alls I can say is thank you
  • I always feel sad when Will says “Thank you so much for watching… bye.” PLS don’t leave us Will! 😩 Your Chanel is a blessing (as well as your website), thank YOU sir.
  • @breal1460
DIY Solar is the way! Thank you SO very much for making these videos. Your videos are going to save so many people facing insane energy cost hikes that are only going to get worse. Also, paying for professional solar installation is insanely expensive due to greed and bureaucracy. You, sir, are doing the world a huge favor, so please continue to make these excellent budget friendly and cost-effective videos.
  • @bruce5285
I would think the future would include many more all in one systems not just for beginners but for entire off grid home applications that would really keep costs down and make it very attractive and fast/easy to install. Thanks, Will!
  • @shawnvines7777
Thanks Will. Been watching for a long time. I got a new job and after a few check come in, I plan to build the 48 V version in my shed. Thanks again for your information, honesty, integrity and your story. Those things are very hard to come by these days.
  • @trevilights
I have this exact same system with 5200ah battery bank. I been running most of my house loads with it. Installed it back in March as it's been running flawlessly. I addad a subpanel and it's powering all of my second floor bedrom light and outlets, my bonus room lights and outlets including my main TV and DTV, Main bedroom and bath, kitchen lights, fridge and chest freezer. If the batteries go low it will then connect to the grid to power my load while charging the battery bank just enough until the sun come out. Electric bill cutted in half.
  • @tmpdowd
Nicely done. Everyone wants to convert you to solar to offset electrical costs, but there's very little conversation about a battery back-up system, and this is ideal. Again, nicely done. I appreciate your attention to detail and common talk.
  • @zpoedog
Been watching a lot of you videos and this one hit a home run for me. Easy to understand and easy to install. Thank you!
  • @tomasviane3844
I remember your first DIY arrays, with the different cable sizes and fuses and it all felt a bit too much. This is more to my liking. Nice to see this kinda evolution 'for dummies'!!
  • @DCX1
This is literally the all in one video everyone needed. Nice job, and thank you 😊
  • @HeadCannonPrime
THIS is the type of system that I have been waiting for! All the safety features integrated. Nearly plug and play.
  • Hi Will, wanted to say thanks for all the very informative solar set up system videos you are doing. By watching and doing some wiring research I was able to put together a small system in my 4x4 for a very remote overland trip. I gota 360 watts 24 V solar panel with a MPPT 50/25, to charge a Lithium 12v battery, overall I was able to source the right cables and set it up myself. Again your videos were like a bible when it came to wiring it all up. The set up did sensational for the 10 weeks we were on the road. Many thanks
  • @rickn501s
Will, thank you for making a video for those of us who need a low cost but value packed quality system. Much appreciated!
  • @steelarms4235
Solar technology has changed so fast, the simplicty and cost are amazing for what you are getting vs just 1 Year ago. For those that have been following Will for years, and wanting to get into Solar Technology like myself, this is as good as it gets, for something simple, this is the way to go, it will exceed your expectation, for someone who wants more, this still a good platform to start, the expansion to go to 10K - 15K is so easy. Love the videos, the content and love how Will shares his experience with his followers
  • @emeryrowand2903
Thanks Will- that looks like a simple and inexpensive set up for an ADU (accessory dwelling unit) which are super popular at the moment!
  • This is by far the best and easiest video to understand to us newbies! We have no clue how to start but now we do! Thank you
  • @n3qdz
Dude this is exactly what I’m looking for
  • @davepomplun1462
Excellent demo and explanation! For those of us getting into solar systems, this is great...thanks...and keep up the good work!👍
  • Honestly, theres nothing like this channel. Its definitive. Simply, Will is in a league of his own
