    Just updated my smoke alarms and doubled up on the 2 different technologies while I wait for the old ones too expire but I didn't know about needing a carbon monoxide alarm! Thanks!

    The way they have the baluster in the video Is fine, but a lot of the times you'll see them install from the outside of the deck. In which case, they rely solely on the fastener to keep them safe.

    Energy efficienty certificate posted along with duct leakage report is commonly overlooked. I see alot of builders who forget to insulate their attic access covers as well. Rails and guards. Egress window wells needs guards if within 3 feet of walking surface and meet ladder requirements.

  • Railing at deck should be 42" and able to withstand a 200 pound point load in all directions, no?
