This is the No Russian Mission in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 called "Passenger". This is the spiritual successor to No Russian from Modern Warfare 2 2009 as this is the moment that No Russian is texted to everyone on the airplane including Vladamir Makarov.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is a first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It is the twentieth game in the Call of Duty series, and third entry in the rebooted Modern Warfare sub-series, serving as the direct sequel to 2022's Modern Warfare II. The game is scheduled to be released on November 10, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Modern Warfare III retains the realistic and modern setting of its predecessors and continues the series' storyline. The story follows multi-national special operations unit Task Force 141 as they track down Vladimir Makarov, a Russian ultranationalist and terrorist planning to trigger a third World War. The game's multiplayer includes all 16 base maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) remastered, with new maps planned for inclusion post-launch. A Zombies mode built around an open world with a player versus environment experience is also included, making Modern Warfare III the first Modern Warfare title to include a Zombies mode. Modern Warfare III's campaign is set to take place after the events of Modern Warfare II and its post-launch seasons, and features a number of fictional locations introduced in previous Modern Warfare games, including the city of Verdansk, Kastovia, and the country of Urzikstan. The game's primary antagonist is Ultranationalist terrorist Vladimir Makarov (Julian Kostov), who was teased at the end of the Modern Warfare II campaign. Task Force 141 returns as the central protagonists, comprising: SAS Captain John Price (Barry Sloane), Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley (Samuel Roukin), Sergeant Kyle "Gaz" Garrick (Elliot Knight), and Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish (Neil Ellice). Also returning from previous Modern Warfare games are: CIA Station Chief Kate Laswell (Rya Kihlstedt), and Urzikstan Liberation Force Commander Farah Karim (Claudia Doumit). Players take on the role of TF141 members as well as members of Makarov's private military company, Konni Group.

This mission is more cutscene than actual gameplay
  • They knew they couldn't go to the lengths of the OG no russian mission lmaoo
  • Don't get me wrong, it's a horrifying scenario. But MW3 2023's 'No Russian' can't hold a candle to the OG MW2 mission of the same name. Being forced into the role of a suicide bomber is disturbing. But massacring civilians to try and infiltrate a terror cell, only to find out they knew you were a fed all along? Infinity Ward knew how to craft a gut wrenching mission back then.

Just remember in No Russian, Makarov never told us to kill anyone on that mission, we all just did it
  • @mr.sir155
I knew the modern day devs didn’t have the balls to do it
  • @scrazhd
The original No Russian will always be a disturbing mission, makarov ensures nobody speak Russian, for people to believe they’re US. Guns down a crowd of people then kills the playable character anyway because he knew he was a US informant. This seems dope but the original is still better imo.

Meh. I miss the days when cod pushed the envelope
  • What confused me is in the epilogue of MWII and trailer with this mission Activision made it seem like you were playing as the terrorists in this part like the original no Russian but instead you play as someone getting framed as one and as soon as you get a chance to shoot a civilian in your way you're magically out of ammo and are forced on the side lines to watch a cutscene they really don't want you hurting anyone in your way except for the bad guys they really don't want to push the bar on this. Hell even MW19 did a better job at terrorism than this.
  • Honestly the prologue in MWII was better. Im not even gonna compare this to the og MWII
  • @KillTheLux
Makarov done came out as a temu special 💀
  • I feel bad for kids today that didn’t experience the original MW3
  • Very glad I didn't pre-order 😂 thank you to all the brave souls who did and informed me ahead of time abt the worthless campaign!❤
  • It was neat and all, but OG No Russian still beats this by 1000
  • This mission feels like Sledgehammer trying to make an inoffensive version of the mission of the same name from MW2 2009
  • You would think there would be more chaos with open gunfire on a plane. People jumping over seats, parents covering their kids. They could have made you feel something here instead they went for an action movie approach
  • @dondeka2086
THE MISSION IS LITERALLY 5 MINUTES LONG....... the civillians in the plane are soulless you can't compare it with MW2's no russian NPCs you can't even compare it to mw19's The Embassy NPCs They could've fixed this by making it filled with choosable dialogues that lead to different mission endings and making the plane more chaotic and more NPC interactions. By different mission endings i meant 1. Plane gets bombed 2. Plane gets steered into a tower causing 9/11
