yeah... I listened to the song like 4 times and just went on with my life. I can't believe how intricate this was, not to mention the fact that someone actually solved all this..

For everyone who wasn't involved in this: unfortunately for us seekers, it was a bit of a disappointing situation. The final clue that actually gives you the fax number wasn't available at all until the day it was finally solved. Max didn't drag the hunt out for months by making a really smart/hard clue - he dragged it out by simply not releasing the necessary clue until days after the website was even found (and no one found the website until the Point Fun clue which was months into the hunt). It was fun in general to be part of, but frustrating to have spent so long working on something (under the impression that "everything we needed to solve the hunt was right there in the song") only to not get the clues until the very end. The one silver lining was the awesome Discord community and the fact that it was someone from that community who actually worked hard, all the way through, and won.

This entire thing went straight over my head, I would have never had got any hints from that song.

I could barely follow along WITH the explanation. That winner guy must be a professional spy or something. Awesome work.

I think you nailed what you set out to do: create a task that hundreds of thousands would engage in but only one would solve (and not solve too quickly either). Excellent stuff, hoping there is a next one.

I kinda love the idea of multiple people/organisations all over the world recieving cryptic messages about fish 😂
