In this lore documentary we explore the history of the Mandalorians. This episode focuses on the Rise of the Mandalorians with their Crusaders and Neo Crusaders.

The video begins with the origins of the Mandalorians which legends trace back to the warring Taung tribes on the primitive world of Coruscant. Following a climactic war, they were forced to abandon the planet, finding a new home in the outer rim. From here the Taung would slowly rebuild their civilization. In doing to they would forge a new warrior culture. These raiders would be given purpose by Mandalore the First who reformed them into the Crusaders. These now launched into the stars.

Over the following centuries, the Mandalorian Crusades would carve a bloody swath of destruction across the Galaxy. At their height, these Crusaders would challenge the Old Republic and go toe to toe with the Jedi. It would be these great Mandalorian Wars which would greatly expedite their military evolution. The two sides would ultimately face off in a climactic war between Mandalore the Ultimate and the Jedi Knight Revan.

  • Canderous: "Never thought I would die fighting side by side with a Republic officer" Carth: "What about side by side with a friend?" Canderous: "Nope"

A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one
  • Jedi Order: "You can't go to the Outer Rim and fight the Mandalorians. That's simply not possible." Revan: "Why isn't it possible?" Jedi Order: "It's just not..." Revan: "WHY NOT, YOU STUPID BASTARDS?!"

While we do love history, our team of researchers and artists are also all nerds who like being able to delve into other universes. Do not fret if you are a history purist, we've got a LOT of historical content coming out shortly including the True Size of the Mongol army which is looking sweet.

I love how Mandalorians pretty much evloved as a middle finger to the Jedi.

"This is the way" - Revan taking Mandalore's head in a fair fight and keeping the mask.

Be cool if the Neo Crusader armour got added to the Mandalorian TV show. That and Vode An being added would be pretty cool as well.

Out of all the factions in Star Wars, I think my go to choice would be the Mandalorians. They’re not just warriors with some of the best gear and training. They’re a community. They thrive in camaraderie.

Here's why you can't exterminate us, aruetii (outsider). We're not huddled in one place—we span the galaxy. We need no lords or leaders—so you can't destroy our command. We can live without technology—so we can fight with our bare hands. We have no species or bloodline—so we can rebuild our ranks with others who want to join us. We're more than just a people or an army, aruetii. We're a culture. We're an idea. And you can't kill ideas—but we can certainly kill you. —Ranah Naast (Mandalore the Destroyer)
  • Please continue this series. I definitely want to see on about the Mandalorian Civil War between the Death Watch and the True Mandalorians under Jaster Mareel

7:30 this battle was my first proper introduction to the Mandalorians, not counting Clone Wars. It was a random comic at my library that checked out five or six times, absolutely loving the war. I didn't know all the characters involved, but the Raw Power of the Sith and the Mandalorians and the others they had gathered under their banner was awesome.

I never learned much of this era outside of Revan's sphere of influence, so I really enjoyed seeing how Mandalorian history shaped the conflict of those times. Two decades later and still I feel attached to the name and role
  • I have always found Mandalore the Indomitable to be the most badass mandalorian leader. Despite treating the Sith Ulic Qel-Droma with utter disrespect and cockiness before their confrontation, he gladly accepted to serve him with complete loyalty as his second-in-command after being defeated, knowing that said Sith deserved to be his master.

I'd lose my shit if we ever got the Basilisk Wardroids in live action

We need a new Mandalorian empire. Its such a cool theme. Hope the show takes us there. Also Revan wears a Mandalorian mask too.
  • An amazing video! The only things I wished you would have mentioned were the Mandalorian knights (Jedi who defected to the Mandalorians and joined their culture) and the fact that the initial skirmishes of the Mandalorian Wars were actually republic victories. The Mandalorians carefully sized up the republic, but made sure to "lose" the initial skirmishes, luring the republic into a state of over confidence. This was one of the main reasons why their multi pronged assault was so devastating to the republic, they just didn't expect the Mandalorians to be able to bring that scale of war to them in the time that they did.
