Sandy is 77 and living her best life! She shares tours of her fantastic 32-ft tiny home built by Simblissity Tiny Homes & Escalante Village, a legal THOW village in an incredible location (see links to both above). 🏘 Watch the tour of her neighbors' split-level tiny house: https://youtu.be/dtkXwgQlcbc

There are a lot of single seniors who would thrive while living in a supportive tiny house community like this. More need to be created.

What a beautifully done book youtube.com/post/UgkxT9ExVpR-3A-9rpRqx8vzXKZ3BMMTg… ! The text and the photographs are brilliant. It is thorough and genuinely informative. Joseph Truini got another winner! No one does it better! Love the Cape Cod Shed with the Blue door!

Bought her tiny for 75th birthday!?! Man! Shes an example of how we can start our life again or new things at 75 years old !! Love it💟

This was the best episode…I can’t believe she’s 77..she’s absolutely beautiful & her dog is too cute 🥰

Oh my goodness…she picked up the house on her 75th birthday and who knew she was even 75 years old! It’s been a couple of years … She looks great! and I’m happy for her ❤️

I love the fact that she can stand up in the bedroom. The inability to do so is what I don't like about most tiny home designs.
-
I really like that she seems genuinely happy with her house, she’s independent, enjoys practical things and has what she needs without clutter. I especially like that she unapologetically replaced the couch with a comfy chair she liked because that’s what she wanted and didn’t care to have the expected couch everyone gets for their tiny houses.

Really nice

This was such a good tour, and thank you. I am 74, and during the housing downturn I lost my larger home, and I had to move in with my kids. So many foreclosures those years. I found a little 500 hundred square foot house for 1500.00, and it needed so much work. I bought it, and did most of the work myself. I never thought I could live in such a small space, but you never know. Much happier now I have been here eleven years, and still working on the house. Thanks this should be an inspiration for all.

Honestly, I'm SUPER tired of people telling us all its "just a fad," like her brothers told her. I'm sorry, but affordable, customizable homes will never, ever, ever be "just a fad." It is literally a basic human need - right there along with food and water -and it always will be. 🙄 The true "fad" is the arbitrary one-size-fits-all, 2k sq ft McMansions with paper thin 2x4 walls in suburban cul-de-sacs serviced by faraway, unwalkable shopping centers. That is the true "fad" in this context of modern American housing. And thankfully that fad is finally dying. r.i.p.

I have watched many videos on Tiny Homes but this interview was one of my favorites. If l can find a community like this in Northern California I would definitely do the tiny home living.

Love the puppy!

Your encouraging people my age. I just turned 36 and I've been working since I was 17 and feeling drained and tired I just want to live tiny have a home that belongs to me without a mortgage. She's soo right we don't need a lot to live happily and since starting my minimalist journey in 2017, it's amazing the things we buy just to kill time. Even if we can't all find a tiny land or community, just buying a smaller footprint when buying a home is moving towards a more freeing lifestyle🤗
