On Monday, “Extra’s” Billy Bush caught up with JillianMichaels, who was recently accused of body shaming Lizzo after commenting on the singer’s weight.

During an appearance on BuzzFeed’s show “AM to DM,” Michaels said, “Why are we celebrating her body? Why does it matter? Why aren’t we celebrating her music?”

Jillian set the record straight on her comments, saying, “Here’s the reality… It was actually about 'The Biggest Loser' and does that show work today, and I said I don’t think so, because I think the world has become so PC that we’ve gone so far to glamorize obesity and… I think this is where things can become unsafe, that we’re denying the reality of certain health ramifications.”

  • I respect her so much more for sticking to the truth. She did not give into the pressure.

Brah I'm over weight and I'm onboard with Julian on this. It's time to face the ugly truth and except that being over weight is in fact unhealthy. There's nothing beautiful about dying of diabetes.
  • @jamesdman7193
She shouldn't have to explain herself about this people are so damn stupid smh
  • @umermahmood
The fact that this is a conversation is absurd. She said nothing wrong, everyone is the author of their own health and well being.
  • What she’s saying is literally backed by medical science. She’s a health coach. This is literally her expertise and it’s her job to keep it real. What she’s talking about is proven in the response to her comments. PC culture is making it okay to be medically unhealthy.

Im overweight n I wasn't offended. I need to watch what I eat n take better care of myself. This is really ridiculous
  • @spicyjedi4584
Jillian doesn’t need to clear the air. She speaks the truth about health.
  • @sealskin5221
"It's just not a lie I'm willing to tell." Full stop.
  • @AlexFromPhoenix
This controversy started because the only idiots backlashing at Jillian are a small handful of morons sitting behind their computers. That have no grip on real life. If it weren’t for them claiming “fat-shamer” this wouldn’t even be happening. But maybe Lizzo might start taking care of herself so there might be some good coming out of this.
  • @even7steven
I can't stand Jillian Michaels, but I respect and applaud her sticking to her principles and telling hard truths, especially in this hypersensitive PC cancel-culture we have today.
  • @kingchile106
She don’t got to explain herself . If Lizzo want to be fat so be it .
  • @poloboy
Jillian is logically driven. The crybabies trying to argue her FACTS are emotionally led on
  • Why is this still being discussed? is lizzo the only obese person in America?
  • @ulricka2131
Jillian is right. We need to be healthy. Period. Obesity is never ever a good thing, whether you are a celebrity or not. She actually cared enough to address it and would be glad I am sure to help Lizzo be in better health. Peace.
  • @ianmeadows6941
As a former chubby child I can’t but agree, it is unhealthy to be overweight.
  • @gp1102
I'm overweight and I wouldn't get mad if she told me that.. You're absolutely right, Jillian. Thanks for keeping us informed. We're getting too comfy with obesity
  • @DCD4Ever
I didn't know Sarah Conner became a fitness instructor.
  • @DavidVarkonyi
She is right ! Being morbidly obese is NOT healthy in any case! That’s not taking care of yourself! Healthy and active as much possible is what should be celebrated!
  • I’m glad she stands by her word. Tired of people denying what they say or rephrasing it to sound politically correct. As if PC is a virtue
