Leonard is the character who connected the whole group together. I love Johnny as an actor. All the actors are similar to their characters, except Johnny. He is the complete opposite of his character, it is this quality of reincarnation that says that Johnny is an amazing actor.

It's really great that they put the Sheldon saving Leonard's life clip right after Professor Proton is asking him why he's with Sheldon. In this episode, Leonard explains to Penny that not only did Sheldon save his life but he didn't rat Leonard out to the landlord. It was one of the main reasons why Leonard is with Sheldon.

A lot of people talk about Jim for this role. I love Jim. But Johnny is the best person for Leonard and i couldn't think of anyone else who could be Leonard.
