Money,cars,homes, landownership, position , status, power, influence and greed, and looking up to others for our source of joy, security, to meet our emotional needs, has become the idols for many.

As a car guy, I never thought a car could become an idol. Until I bought a Ford Fiesta ST. The most fun thing I ever bought with money. I had owned 57 cars, before I bought it. I had plenty of opportunities to turn a car into an idol, never a problem before. It became my drug of choice. An adrenaline needle. My family left for a week, and the Holy Spirit went to work. After many tears, and discussions - I said OK God I will sell it. One of the hardest things I have had to do.

Idols are such an easy trap to fall into. Most folks dont realize that idols can be a lot of things.

This is really a message that confronts us. There are idols in our life. How many times can we be idolizing so many things without realizing it. Glory to God for this wonderful sermon

Powerful definition!!!! An IDOL is a Noun-(person, place, thing or thought) that you look to as your SOURCE to meet your need.

God is our primary provider
