Ultimate Go Kart Overlanding Trailer Ep2

Publicado 2024-07-09
This is the second episode of the Ultimate Overlanding Trailer for a go kart. On today's video we install cross braces on the frame, air bags, wheels and tires, and a tool box to house the air compressor. We then hook it up to our 999cc buggy and give it a tow around the field as well on the trail. The trailer is working out great and I can't wait to get it all finished up in the next video. Stay tuned!!!

Sweet build so far. 'Brick solid'.>Your left rear buggy tire wobbled as you stopped to get out.Bent or loose? If you reverse the rims, the trailer will stay within the trail better. Triangulated bar from the frame going out in front of the tires (Scrub-bars) will keep them from catching trees and rocks. You do what you do, and we'll be here watching.

Just running a "Y" or a "T" that inflates both bags at once allows the air to pass from side to side in turns and allows the trailer to sway or tip. If you put a valve in each sides line, you can open them, fill the bags, then close them - this will not allow the air to cross back and forth and will greatly reduce sway. You can also use the valves to set each sides pressure to adjust for side-to-side weight.

Should market the trailer at various completion levels! I sure would be interested in that trailer for my rzr 800! Currently looking for tear drop trailers to camp off grid! Well done!!!!!!

Those bags look like the same bags on my tri -axle dump truck for lifting the 3rd axle, ,sweet looking trailer, may need some bike mirrors on the buggy now to watch the trailer when going through trees an stuff, looks awesome to me 👍🏼

That turbo diesel Deuce would be a great machine to tow this trailer around.

Nice trailer! I bet those bags are rated for more weight than you'll ever put on the trailer! Air bag suspended buggy? You can do it!!

you should make a batwing style mower trailer to pull along your trails with a cart.

Is the axle or the rim bent on the back left of the buggy? The trailer is cool

  • @Idahoprepper71
You should hook up the airbags to control separate so you can level the trail for uneven weight or to level better for sleeping. That how u built mine as it works perfectly
