Yamaha RBX 170 fretless - Beveling the fretboard

Published 2013-08-31
I make the fret beveling file out of a cheap file and a piece of 2x4 followed by clamping down the neck and and putting a nice bevel on the fretboard. Pretty easy all things considered. The angle of the file to the block is 35 degrees in case you're wondering. Set a circular saw to a 35 degree cut and make a few passes with it. The file should fit fairly snug but the screws will hold it firm while you work.
