I have the exact same thing on a truck I’m looking at buying. Was concerned bout the shear gutless performance and your video has shown me what to check and help determine this trucks issue. Then start beating the guy down on price 😁
  • That job looks like a bit of a PIA. Thanks for the tips & tricks sir. Every little bit helps. You make great content that helps other mechanics by saving them time and effort. It is most definitely appreciated. 👍👍

Good stuff, Tony. That looks easier than a Duramax, you have more room at least.
  • I have a 99 Cummins with 185,000 nice and tight, no leaks 5 speed manual. Steering has been supported , new injector pump and lift pump

Hey Tone you mentioned how you could duplicate the acceleration issue, after the vehicle loses power what would you do to reset the vehicle so that it would drive at normal operational specs and start all over again ?

My boss would have said to glue the mesh back onto the filter and make it work🤣👍
  • I have a 2006 ford f650 rollback with the 5.9 Cummins. The egr transfer tube just started leaking/hissing, and when it does it seems to have loss of power. It has been doing this same cutting in and out of power under load thing you described in the video. Do you think egr pipe leak would cause the loss of power? I figured that was only exist gas, not boost. Any input you have would be helpful. Thanks man. -Rick

Don't take your truck to a dealer. They know nothing about troubleshooting digital electronics.
