  • As an 11 yr old I will always remember how intense the AL was. They seriously wanted to win this game!! And of course, Fred Lynn’s granny!!!!!

NBC was, and always, had the best baseball coverage, everything was first rate, announcers, music, introductions..what a shame they don't air it anymore, fox and espn are both lousy..

Just a guy playing the organ live and in person and no other music is so amazing and how it should always be...

The date of this game was July 6th, 1983. Easily remembered, because I shipped out to Army basic training the very next day.

My dad and I are seen immediately after Harvey Kuenn was announced. 31:40. Such a great memory going to this game when I was 10.

People forget how dominant Dave Stieb was at his peak. Along with one no hitter, he had 3 other no hitters broken up in the 9th inning
  • My last All Star Game with my Dad, while I lived at home. The 1989 All Star Game was the last one we saw together. The Bo Jackson show!! We lived 45 minutes from Royal Stadium. Now Kaufman Stadium.
  • For me as a 13 year old, the '83 ASG is my most memorable because until this game all other All Star games that I had watched were won by the N.L. . Great season as my Orioles won the World Series.
  • I was a 13-year-old Giants fan growing up in the Bay Area. Atlee Hammaker was a promising young pitcher who was having an awesome year. He was never the same after this game.😕

In Palm Springs (ca.), the Angels played spring games there and Cecil Cooper was in left field. They let you in with coolers of beer and we enticed Cecil to a tall can of Shlitz! He came over, stuck it in his jersey after the 3rd out! Love you Cecil!

This is truly a classic. Final all-star games for Yaz and Johnny Bench. I'll never forget the tremendous ovation Yaz got when he pinch hit in the seventh inning.

God the expos were stacked back then. I miss those uniforms.

Fun game. I remember watching this All-Star game with my Dad, cheering on my hero, and now close friend, Ron Kittle. I was only 4 years old.

I could listen to Vin Scully narrating how to put the car in gear.
