The very first video on my channel was a part one of two manga recommendations series, discussing 6 different manga I loved and enjoyed. The feedback from that video was insane, for the reception I got on my very first video... I still consider myself super lucky (and if you haven't seen that one, you can check it out here:    • Manga Recommendations You NEED To Rea...

So here's part two! I absolutely loved making this video, but it was certainly a big project to tackle, like any manga video - so apologies on the lateness! But I tried to pick as big a variety as I could, hopefully this means there will be something for everyone to look at. :) Thanks for watching!

Something I forgot to mention at the end of the video, if you've watched this video (or any manga video of mine, I guess) and have bought a manga because of it - make sure to tag me on twitter and let me know!! It's always a joy to see more people pick up new manga ☺️
  • I actually spent a month colouring chapters of Kaiju No.8 last year for a website. It's one of those series that feel an adoption is inevitable. It's nice to think that I'll add to someone's enjoyment of the series even if it's just a little bit

I originally intended to just scrub the timeline skim the recommendations and dip,but the editing, and sincere discussions of each manga was ...indeering,like hearing a random acquaintance on a open bus seat recommend their favorite books to read(haven't had those since well the virus).I really enjoyed the sincereness of the recommendations and the excitement of describing their characters worlds felt infections ,particularly the last book.Ajin has been on my radar for a few years, but never gave it a shot(the way its described sounds like my jam). Thanks for the recommendations and have a good one.

And this is why we love YouTube despite the platform's issues. Wonderful video, and I really respect that these are truly hidden gems. I have never heard of any of them, except Kaiju no.8 and Ajin, can't wait to binge read Boys Run Riot. Thank you and we'll be waiting for the next videos.
  • OMGGGG I honestly clicked this with the shadow of hope that "oh maybe finally someone will talk about Boys Run the Riot" but doubting it but then IT'S THE FIRST THING IN THIS I'm actually in tears
  • Heaven's design team sounds hilarious, gotta read. Never even heard of any of those, but they all sound amazing, thank you for the recomendation!!

I don't usually comment, but man I love your videos. You have great analysis and recommendations, I've started Blue Period, Witch Hat Atelier, and Delicious in Dungeons all because of this channel. Blue Period has had an embarrassing large effect on my life, including pushing me to go to art school so I really can't thank you enough for bringing less popular manga to the forefront. Also, your videos are just really well put together and your voice is very soothing, all-around amazing channel. Thank you for the new recommendations!

I read almost everything on this list and I gotta say I did not expect to like Medalist THIS much. The art is just brimming with emotion and energy and both Tsukasa and Inori are such lovable characters. So far it has become my favorite from this list

YEEEEEES SOMEONE FINALLY TALKED ABOUT AJIN THANK YOUUUUUUUUUU

Kinda crazy how your tastes align with mine when it comes to manga, and just aesthetic in general. Kasane was the only one out of the bunch that I had read, but damn i went through the others and I was hooked. Thank you again, for these beautiful recs. Also, your videos are such a joy to watch, such clean editing, and your descriptions of the plot never go into the territory of spoilers. You highlight the appeal, and maybe that is why I feel compelled to read every singe manga you talk about. Great video, as always!! <3

I'm always so amazed on how much subtle editing goes on with each of the manga videos. I sometimes have to look twice if I saw something move or not and it makes the pages come even more to life and a joy to watch. It must be so much work with each one of them, thank you for making these amazing, calming and yet very attention grabbing videos.
  • My goodness, you are so skilled at communicating these stories and their content in such concise and expressive ways. It’s a treat to listen to.

Out of these series, so far I've only read Boys Run the Riot and Kaiju no. 8 and absolutely love them. I plan on checking out a bunch of these series. Specifically Kasane, Heavens Design Team, and A Sign of Affection. My grandparents are deaf and they grew up in a time where support for deaf people was basically non existent, so it's always nice to see stories about both the struggles, but also the joy that deaf people obviously feel. They're humans just like anyone else and that often gets lost in stories exclusively about how society as a whole treats deaf people. Many stories make deaf people feel like props even in stories that are ostensibly about them. Really can't wait to check that one out.

I love how diverse Manga really is. Compared to modern western comics, manga is for everybody even if it’s not their cup of tea.

After your Blue Period video, I fell into a rabbit whole of binging the anime and now hope to collect Blue Period spanish manga edition. Your narration and presentation are just superb ✨✨✨ Btw I have been meaning to try out Boys Run the Riot and Dreams at Dusk and your in-depth and well-made reviews are enough to push me into a manga binge again 😭
  • @PauseandSelect
I always love how clean and deliberate your editing is, Dani! Great stuff as always!

I haven't even started reading Medalist and I'm crying already. This is gonna be a wholesome emotional read. Love the way you explain and summarize the stories. I'll definitely check all the recommendations. Thank you for making this video!! :D
