I’ve had 3 Hondas with this keyless system and done 10’s of thousands of miles with them, never had a problem. You have to press the knob in to wake it up before trying to turn it.
  • I have had the same Adv for 2 years and never had a problem with the key... It is fantastic and very practical

Switch, push down before you turn. Never had a problem. Handles very very well , power perfect for a scooter. I’m 6’, bars height and width beats any scooter out there, screen small neat looks good and works well, only raise it in rain. Like having real forks.Honda reliability, reasonable service charge. Forced to give up my 1150 GS. Maybe not thrilling but it is still quick and fun.

To all the people talking about replacing key fob batteries on every single YT video about the ADV350 starting issue - the issue described in this video is 100% nothing to do with the battery, take it from me. Also, Jack Wednesday, why are you turning the ignition switch without pressing it in first? To your keyless ignition, it's like changing gear on a manual bike without activating the clutch.

I love how the visor sit off from the head. GREAT design!

I own same bike and i agree with every word. Had about 2K km and 3-5 times it would take up to 10min to start. It's a known problem. All over the web if you look. And i believe Honda has to do something about it. Make a recall repair/replace, whatever... I also purchased a different windshield. But mine is clear and bigger. Touring type. Cause i feel too much drag on my entire torso when go over 110km/h, which i do regularly during season. So, thank You for the rev again! Drive safe and have fun!

On your last visit to bury hill as you were stopped by the entrance to leave , i just turned up on the blue 24 model . Got mine 2nd week of Feb , now with 1700 miles on it , no problem with key yet !! Found plenty of floods over the passed weeks never got me feet wet once

some Barcode Scanners are the problem which can interfere with KeyFOBs you can also have the same problem with immo chips in the keys (no matter if car or bike). so even if you have a normal key and u have an immo chip inside and can have the same problems....... thats not an honda only related problem, it targets all manufacturers but you can simply type in your keycode at those Hondas and start even without the KeyFOB

I bought one about a year ago. Exactly same issue with key/ignition. But it's such a fun and practical and value machine I personally can forgive this fault. Recommend big Givi screen, big top box and it's super practical. Understand the key frustration though. I'd like a TMAX but they're retail is 14k! ADV was 5.8k... I love it. 😊 Thanks for reviewing and sharing thoughts! 👍
  • I had the same problem with my Honda starting the engine. However, I realized after my friend told me that...to start the engine, you need to push the rear brake lever harder..You can't just push the brake lever a little bit..it has to be a lot harder...try it tell us the result.

Hello. The alternative model from Kymco DTX 360 is keyless to but with build in key.. So it's sort of both at the same time.

I hope Honda fixes the radio interference problem. I've had several cars with keyless ignition and have never had this problem, so it is fixable. I see the trickle charge plug under the seat, the small optimate 2 is brilliant for keeping bike batteries in new condition.
  • Regarding the keyless, I have a Forza 125, you have to briefly push the dial in to wake up the keyless then turn it
  • @Forlornasp5007
Wat about the forza 350 ? Same keyless ignition ? Great video 😊
  • @JaunMoney
Man i was afraid about what your major issue was. I dont have this issue on mine so far in fact, i’ve been loving the keyless fob.
  • @ph5056
If you have a keyless scoot with a fob one thing i can suggest is put a duracell in the fob and put a spare under your seat for peace of mind..also carry the underseat key on the keyring with your fob
  • My 24 plate ADV 350 in Pearl falcon grey was delivered last Saturday and I've so far covered 33 miles due to pants weather, im looking to get out on it tomorrow morning as soon as possible!. I really like it so far and I've just fitted an 'EasyBlock security system to it and I'll be using it for my daily 34 mile commute to work during the summer months. I've just noticed that KIA GT line S parked on your drive as I've got a 22 plate one exactly the same! Great car!

I took the bike down to the RLNI station down at Littlehampton ( good excuse for full english brekkie at the lighthouse next door ! ) the reason i did that was to see if all their radio , radar , equipment would upset the starting procedure on the bike , no luck , started up no problem , sorry but i did try
  • @TheDervMan
Perhaps work out where the RF sensor is you could hold the fob against the panel and cover that with a faraday bag and see if that gets it going.

I watched another YouTube video ( can't remember the title ) that showed the knob locking and unable to turn if the seat/fuel switch is slightly off-centre ; just as the switch will not work if the knob is not in the correct position , the knob will not turn if the switch has some play and is not not quite central , being directly under the control knob it could easily be brushed slightly to one side while switching off . I don't know if this helps but thought it worth mentioning .
