Subaru’s renowned technologies now include a new ‘driver assist system’ called EyeSight. EyeSight is a second pair of eyes that monitors the road ahead and recognises potentially dangerous driving situations.

Using three-dimensional images captured by cameras mounted at the top of the front windscreen, EyeSight™ provides audible and visual warnings to prompt the driver to take action. Apart from these built-in functions, EyeSight will also apply automatic braking intervention, when necessary, to help avoid or reduce the severity of a detected frontal collision.

Very informative video. I have kids (22 and 30 years old), that don't give a shit about safety, when driving. All they care about Apple car play, Pandora and SiriusXM. They don't want to hear or read the vehicle manual. Thank you Subaru for keeping my grown children safe.
  • Thank you Subaru for protecting the lives of your drivers and their families !!! Subaru is a good company. :-)
  • I appreciate the pre collision breaking system saved my life. Thank you Subaru!😊
  • I have a specific personal experience with EyeSight on my US-model 2017 Forester which deserves conscious recognition by other EyeSight drivers. I had gotten well used to the situations in foggy/frosty weather when EyeSight recognizes that it is "blind" and shuts itself off with a dashboard warning message. However, I was most surprised to experience on a long summer trip that one smashed insect in just the wrong place in front of one camera, can make EyeSight "blind" without it realizing it, and without any shut-off or warning message. The only symptom was that cruise control did not sense any car in front, even when there was one. My recommendation is, be very aware that the "clean windshield" warning includes bugs.
  • My main love is adaptive cruise control. I've had my Gen5 since 2015, and in the 3 years I've owned it, EyeSight has never given a false brake. It has given a couple false alerts, but has never falsely applied the brakes. Twice it saved me. Once, was a pedestrian who ran out in front of me, and the car started braking before I was able to react. The second time was a car that pulled out in front of me. Once again, the car was already applying the brakes before I had my foot on the brake. I'll never own another car, other than a Subaru with EyeSight!
  • Now I understand how eyesight works I will devote myself to fully learn new eyesight technology since i bought a new Subaru Limited with eyesight technology 😲😲✅
  • I love the cruise control, lane protection, blind spot warning, etc. However, Eyesight fails in fog, dust, rain, darkness, just when you need it most!
  • i drive 850 miles twice a week. This incredible EyeSight system has protected me numerous times. I Love It!!!
  • another EyeSight feature I expect 99% of owners do not realize is, if you want conventional non-adaptive cruise control, you can get it by holding the following distance button down for several seconds (3 horizontal lines).
  • i have a brand new legacy with he eyesignt and i love it

It’s not perfect but it helps when it works

As a guy pushing 80, this is a lot for me to digest....

at 9:42 you have the labels confused for "pre-collision braking", and "lane departure".
  • Is there a warning volumn/frequency adjustment on the 2016 Forrester with Eyesight. I have a high frequency loss and don't hear the tones at all.
  • @3kkk514
Do you have acutual demomstration step by step all the features ?
  • Had my new 2019 Impreza for a few weeks now and LOVE it. One thing i notice is when going around curves. It feels like im getting help steering here. Its an interesting feeling but i haven't heard about this feature. Anyone else??
  • Where do you recommend placing a dash-cam with the eyesight system? It would be great to have the recording capability of a dash-cam built into the eyesight system and rear breaking camera.
