Tibet’s Animal Kingdom is an exploration of a wildlife kingdom flanked by the mighty Himalayas. One of the world’s most elusive big cats - the snow leopard, has made a home under the great Himalayan peaks, while a species of goose that can even fly over the world’s highest mountains is drawn to the richly nutritious lakes of the Tibetan plateau. Here at 15,000 feet, these creatures demonstrate how to carve out an existence in the most dramatic landscape on earth.

    The people who must work as sherpa are seriously exploited by the wealthy ppl who pay for the expensive government permits to climb Everest & the expedition companies owned by foreigners & run by foreigners. The ppl working for the expedition companies make little money & don't receive much in the way of tips from their climbers who they must risk their very lives to serve. The average tip is a miniscule $10. The salaries paid by the expedition companies is a mere pittance. The is a huge descrepancy between what the sherpas do & how much they're paid for the priceless service they provide. Even their own government has done little to nothing to save their ppl &/or create jobs in their country offering an alternative source of income so working as a sherpa isn't the only kind of work available to them.
