Regardless the team is playing good without Jones. There is multiple issues. A bigger issue is the owners and forcing jones and the same style of play for over 10 years.

I’m so happy the dolphins went for McDaniel and not Daboll. Sadly nerds and weirdos don’t usually get taken seriously in the NFL, and instead dudes like Daboll do. The Flores scandal was the reason we got McDaniel and I couldn’t be happier

Assuming that what you were told is close to being accurate, that's a big problem for the Giants. After firing several coaches after 2 years, they want and need continuity. So it is not likely that Daboll gets fired. Maybe Daboll could fire Wink or else Wink just walks after this year. The problem is not with the defense, but the offense. In any event the Giants are stuck with Daboll for at least another year.
