However, taking home a Harry Potter prop wasn’t the easiest of tasks, not even for the chosen one or as the real world knows him, Daniel Radcliffe. Today, we’re taking you through each cast member's experience with their stealing shenanigans and letting you in on the secret of which props actually left the studio gates.
While some actors were successful in their endeavor - one of your favorite Weasley’s even walked away with the flying car from Chamber of Secrets - others were left embarrassed after getting caught before making a clean getaway.
The Harry Potter filmmakers had strict rules when it came to the wardrobe and prop departments because the worth of the props were through the roof and were actually property of Warner Brothers. But that didn’t stop the cast from trying and sometimes succeeding to the point of selling a prop for twenty-five thousand dollars!
There’s no denying that the filmmakers had every right to want and control their props as much as possible, however hearing about these cast stories only adds to how unique the Harry Potter cast's time on set really was. They didn’t steal anything, they let each actor take one thing from the set to keep after the film’s ended. Also because so many actors basically gave up their whole childhood for the Harry Potter series

Actors spend a lot of time on set and it could be pretty natural for them to get attached to their character’s belongings. So Sneakily or openly, many actors in Hollywood has taken home some of the most iconic props of their films.

I would have stolen EVERYTHING. Even a tiny stone from the set. But probably I would have taken the resurrection stone :3

after so many years and so much work these actors had put to the films, they didn't steal the props; actually they were theirs to take!

For all the incredible work they put in, and the incredible amount of money the studio already has, they should be entitled to most of these props.
