Hi everyone Today's video is all about how a crush is JUST A LACK OF INFORMATION.
You become attached through fantasy, you are usually more interested in the idea of a person than the reality. I talk about how to flip this and use it to your advantage.

Infatuation is fantasy. Lust is biology. Love is sacrifice.

“A crush is just a lack of information” Then in that sense, love is the pursuit of knowledge.
  • my main lesson for 2023: sometimes fantasies about your crush are better off being fantasies. Not every crush could be your partner and it’s normal

A crush is only a “lack of information” if your transposing your ideals over them and filling in the gaps with them. An informed crush with someone you’re familiar with is different.

100% Facts. The only reason you are head over heels for them is because you dont know them well enough. You made up assumptions about them all in your head. The way to kill a crush is to get to know them really really well. You might end up still liking them, but it removes the total delulu.

I had a crush in middle school and i was "SO IN LOVE" with this guy.. Since I was smart, I would always allow him to cheat on my exam... Well anyways, I got injured in PE and could barely walk to my other class... I asked my crush if he could please take my homework and turn it in the homework tray.. THIS FOO walks right by my homework paper and sees it and continues walking... My teacher saw ,felt bad and he went to turn it in for me.... A crush for a person has never EVAPORATED so quickly in my life.

So basically infatuation is not love, that’s definitely a good lesson to learn earlier on in life than later

A crush is a dream where you don't have all the information. The hardest part about a crush is removing them from your life and killing that dream and hope that you had of being with them. Its even harder for young people because you see a whole future with that person.

This is why I crush on fictional men, they can't disappoint me 😂 Delulu is not the solulu, I noticed that real life crushes often people project ideals onto their crushes, she's very right about this. Don't look at people thru rose colored glasses.

Makes sense. Being interested in somebody is due to mystery. You don't really know people besides how they look on a day to day basis tbh.
  • I can't stress enough how true this is. I remember the first crush I ever had. I built this person up so much in my head and one day, I finally shot my shot and she literally laughed in my face. I cried and cried but learned a valuable lesson that day. To never let someone else's opinion of you, determine your own self worth.

There's a line between "showing them that you care" and "being clingy and desperate". If you show them that you care, that they are special, they will reciprocate. Most desperate guys or girls are too focused on themselves and project their own fantasies rather than learning about the real person they were having a crush on. It makes people uncomfortable and makes yourself repellent and pathetic. But if you try to keep certain distance and patiently get to know your crush, the initial infatuation will go away and take form of genuine understanding and care. You know what to tell them, what to do for them, what make them happy rather than forcing your delusion on them.

I will never tell anyone that I have a crush at first again because I had a backstabbing friend who told on me and then the guy started acting weirded out by me. Most embarrassing experience of my life.

"Don't you dare wait around and let someone play off your emotions" - well said! I stopped doing that years ago when I found that my hobbies are much more fun than obsessing over someone who doesn't Really care about me. Haha

"You'll stop being attracted to the same type of people if you take the lesson out of every single time, it doesn't work out." That's a huge takeaway for me. Thanks!
