The greatest lineup of the greatest band ever. Stunningly beautiful yet absolutely vicious. Hail, hail!

Smith did an admirable job filling in later on, but McGeoch was something special

By far the best live performance i`ve ever heared 0f this song. Night shift is also my favorite on JujJu. It has such a gloomy haze. A portrait of Peter Sutcliffe.

Anyone who filled in on guitar sounded just like they really were 'just filling in'...McGeoch was a pure natural, it was effortless, a truly inspired guitar genius...
  • @Shadowplaytime
John McGeoch was such a fantastic guitarist, his exotic chords and scales making for a sooooo special atmosphere on so many splendid SatB themes as this one...! A true master on the edge of consonance/dissonance, to be remembered forever...

John McGeoch was just that much better than anyone else ❤️

I cannot say enough about this version of the Banshees. RIP John McGeoch and yes, The Ice Queen rules.
  • Honestly, the greatest band of all time, and this was them at the absolute peak of their powers. And yes Nightshift is a song about Peter Sutcliffe, but only in the way that Macbeth is a play about James the First. You can never capture its essence in mere words.

I was in Cologne that summer. How did I miss this? She scared me in concert.
  • JuJu is a great album and one of those few I always go back to, even +40 years after.

the best song of the band and of the best ever in punk/goth music.
