When it comes to the royal family, they follow a lot of traditional etiquette rules that may seem strange to us. This also extends to their beauty and fashion, and some of the regulations are surprisingly strict. We’ll let you know what article of clothing the Queen would never be spotted without, and why Meghan Markle wearing ripped jeans caused such a stir. There’s a reason that you won’t see Kate Middleton wearing bright nail polish, and we’ll tell you what she prefers to put on her nails instead. Although some of the rules may seem arbitrary, there are good reasons for lots of them. We’ll explain why royal women choose clutches over purses, lipstick over lip gloss, and what special addition they make to their hems. Do you think that these rules are a good idea, or are they extremely outdated? Let us know in the comment section and then click subscribe for more videos from TheTalko.

  • Kate is following almost all the rules because she will be queen when Prince William will be king after his dad..

Fast forward to 2021. MM disrespected the entire UK.

I think Kate embodies all the characteristics of a Royal family should possess such as being classy, gracefully elegant, and respectable.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE HATS. Beatrice, Eugenie and Katherine especially wear hats with a lot of wit and style.

I think it kinda sucks that Meghan will always be compared to Kate. They are two totally different people with two different styles. Why does it have to be "vs."?

I wish wearing gloves would come back as a fashion style. I love it!
  • As a teen in the 60's, we wore gloves to graduation teas, proms, weddings and church.

I also agree with the rules. It not only keeps every one looking with class, but also sets a very nice, and high standard tradition, that we all could use an example for. Kate has kept an excellent example of what a royal should look like and act like. For this, she is highly admired and respected. Keep up the excellent image for us Kate. You are wonderful and refreshing.

Another option of title : Comparing Kate and Meghan for 10 minutes straight
  • The talko, you're just comparing them, If you love Catherine, you don't need to hate on Meghan, and vise versa.
  • Abiding by strict rules is just fine. With great "influence" comes great responsibility. Love the Queen and the Cambridges the most.
  • I don't want to be rude but what they are trying to say is that Meghan is doesn't fit in the family 🤔
  • I do dislike the extra messy buns with hair falling out. BTW, most of these are suggestions to make their lives easier, not to punish them.

Must suck being a Royal. I would rather work 9 till 5 on a basic wage than do all the bull crap they have to.

I like Kate's style the most. Before or after join the royal family, she just being herself simple and elegant 😘
  • @evelyn4120
Kate is such a perfect royal, even though she isn’t blood-related she still stocks so well to the rules

All these “rules” seem to be well thought through and make a lot of sense. I wish more people put that much thought into what they put on.
