Lyrics:
When the storms of winter come
Starless nights will come again.
When the waining sun is gone
We will walk in bitter lands
But in dreams.

The composer of the original, amazing Lord of the Rings soundtrack is Howard Shore. I arranged this medley based off his main themes.

I had an opportunity to go to New Zealand so we filmed this while we were there. Kim Dotcom funded this whole trip and he not only provided our travel but he treated us so kindly and he gave us full access to a helicopter. I don't care what the media says about him, I consider him a friend.

The Lord of the Rings...There is seriously nothing that can describe how much it means to me! I'm only 13, but still...That triology is my life. I stopped counting how often I've watched those movies, and anyways how often I've cried! I still cry, because I know that somewhere out there, middle earth exists, even if I can't just leave and live there... J.R.R Tolkien is a legend. He gave so many people on this earth, a beautiful childhood/teenhood, with his books! And also Peter Jackson, with his movies made from the books, are also just incredible. So sad, that so many people "forgot" about it, or don't even know it! Middle earth will always be in our hearts. Sad, that the journey is over... Edit: Heyho, me here, couple years later. I'm 17 now and my view still has not changed at all. The Lord of The Rings is still a triology (books or movies) that is stuck with me. It'll stick with me forever and it's helped me through a LOT throughout these couple years! Thank you for all your lovely replies, I'm glad to know youngsters like me aren't alone with this and that there's people who support our love for this. And you're right, as long as our emotion and passion for it isn't over, the journey isn't over either. About 2 years back I had the pleasure of visiting Oxford for a day, and to say it was absolutely stunning to know that I was standing in front of the very building that J.R.R. Tolkien studied at. I've bought myself a second copy of all the books. Was a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it. <3

My wife and I got married in august 2018, and we used this medley to play over the intercom system in the church when we were walking out after having given our I do's. Because of that, this one will always be special to me. Especially because my wife can occationally be emotional, not overly, but she's easier to tears than me atleast. But on our wedding day she was so impressive, she really was pretty calm and collected (as much as you can expect on a wedding day) and this also was a trend leading up to the wedding, it was slightly outside of what I had expected, but really impressive. But the day before the wedding, we had to do a sound check with this song in the church, and when I put it on, and you could hear this beautiful medley play throughout the entire church, let's just say it did not take my wife many seconds to break out of her calm and starte weeping, because it was truely beautiful. Thank you for making our special day even more special lindsey!

One does not simply stop watching Lindsey Stirling....
  • Imagine: 3000 years later, when the age of men comes crushing down, and some survivors gather and rise again. Then they discover LoTR from the ruins of an ancient library (prolly built like medieval times anyway), and they try to search for the White City, Elves, and Mount Doom everywhere. Sounds familiar?

Who dislikes this video people this is the most beautiful masterpiece this world has to offer. And that voice was from the heavens, a voice of an angel.

I'm learning violin right now mainly so that I can one day play this song. Not even close yet, but someday... someday... Man, I love the LotR trilogy.

Me and me wife used concerning hobbits for our processional song in our wedding and your rendition of it for her walk down the aisle. Made some of the best memories of our lives

It makes me miss my home in Indonesia. When i was child i always watched LOTR and pretended i'm part of fellowship, and i'm an elf! My house surrounded by beautiful hills, and from the top of it i could see the shady-sea, ships, and sunset. If i turn around, on other side of the hills there are lake, green hills, and farms. Sometime i and my friend go to there just to sit and see sunset, and we often met a shepherd with her sheeps.
  • Almost made me want to go to sleep because of your sweet and soothing violin playing.

Lindsey, you are an absolute rockstar on the violin!!! I've grown up listening to all different kinds of music. When I was little I would listen to older country songs with my dad and one of my absolute favorites was devil went down to Georgia by Charlie Daniels. My grandma and mother also played the violin so I've always loved the way it sounds, even though the few years I was in band class I played percussion, but how you play your own way with your own sound that comes from you is absolutely awe inspiring. You've taken the widely contemporary sound of violin music and taken it by the ankles, turned it upside down, and taken it's lunch money. Keep playing the way you want to play, and continue to carve your name deeper into the memory of music.
