This bands overall allure with their catchy riffs and grasping hooks is what makes me love them. They beautifully mastered the original metalcore sound.

As I lay dying was one of the first metalcore bands that got me into the genre. To this day they are one of my all time favorites. My personal top 3 in order are.. Frail words collapse. An ocean between us. Shadows are security.

Frail Worlds Collapse and Shadows are Security are my top picks. The nostalgia just goes so hard. Haven't really listened to their other albums. Keep up the good content, man.

I have vivid memories of when Frail Words Collapse was their latest release. The drums sound like machine guns. It's fucken amazing. Good times.

This is who we are Just my opnion i really enjoy their first album it was just this year (2023) i found out about it i actually ended up buying it on ebay for 38 dollars i didnt care i wanted it this is my favorite band some day one day ill see them. I remember Awakened kicking in my headphones while studying, and being impressed by how many moments made me stop what I was doing and go "wow". These dudes don't stray from their recipe, but they do it perfectly.

No hard feelings on the Shadows ranking, in fact I got my own unpopular opinion and would agree with your list if you swapped Shadows with An Ocean Between Us. It's got its moments (I Never Wanted is amazing) but it never really clicked for me. In the end music is just subjective, no need to be ashamed of one's opinions and especially no need to give other people shit for their musical opinions. At least we're all listening to metal, right? :)

I know you already know that your opinion on SaS is unpopular but... how? lol Like someone said below, it's basically a Swedish Melodic Death Metal album with a bit of Metalcore included. "Meaning in Tragedy" the opener is already 10/10 complete BANGER detected hahaha but off course, in the end, each one with it's one opinion and choices. And nice content.
