I've watched this interview at least twice in it's entirety; and dozens of times in segments. What an amazing story of chasing your dreams, heroism and vividly describing his own struggles. He brought a true humanity to these operators. It's impossible to imagine what DJ went through, and ultimately everyone who served and was effected by war

This is fucking priceless. This isn't an interview with an SF operator, this a self help video. Worth his weight in gold to the human race is DJ Shipley. Props to Shawn for giving DJ the space he needed to get this out. Both of them true warriors.

Based on this quality, SRS HAS TO BE the first to get Christian Craighead for a sit down. No other will hit the mark and capture the intensity like SRS. This was the best one yet. Unreal.

It takes a real, mature man to give an interview like DJ does here. Shawn did another outstanding job of not interfering with his guests story and injecting his own stories and bs, which is what makes Shawn the absolute best interviewer.

This is the most amazing interview of any military veteran I have seen. Holy shit. This guys story is one that needs to be everywhere. His story may be a Seal story, but it resonates on many levels with veterans at every level. The commitment to the job, the injuries, the depression, the suicidal ideologies, the continued depression. It just resonates in so many ways with so many veterans I know. He went deep. There's so much to unpack here. This is truly just a special story.

Absolutely amazing interview Shawn. One of the rawest, bravest, most courageous I’ve seen. I love DJ for fighting to save my life that fateful night in Iraq. But I love him even more because this interview will save lives. Too many men think being a bad ass means you have to be a dick. The most badass people I know are also the most humble and DJ showed that in this interview. SO much respect for him. Even more respect for Patsy. She is a bigger warrior than most warriors I know.
