When I wear my hair like this kids at my school bully me for not wearing my hair in a curl pattern. But I think it's bc I'm dark skinned. It’s a Denman brush...I use a shoe string because it’s easy to adjust the tightness and easy to untie. I also spray my entire head with water b/c it’s easier to comb out and my hair shrinks a lot.

My hair is in the awkward stage below my ears but not shoulder length.

I use a regular hair tie for my hair and it works great, my friends do the shoelace method and I tried but it don’t work good for me 🤷🏽‍♀️ they be like “ oh it’s cause you got a lot of hair and you have 3c/4a hair “ but i don’t think that have anything to do with it 😂😂
