One of themes at this year’s Royal International Air Tattoo is the 75th anniversary of the formation of NATO - the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

There are 32 nations that currently make up NATO; with the founding members being the UK, USA, Canada, France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Portugal, Denmark, Norway and Iceland.

The flypast on Friday 19th July 2024 consisted of the flowing aircraft:

Element 1:
• Boeing RC-135W Rivet Joint - UK
• Saab JAS-39C Gripen - Czech Republic
• Panavia Tornado A-200A - Italy
• Dassault Mirage 2000-5 - France

Element 2:
• Boeing E-3A Sentry - NATO
• Northrop SF-5M Freedom Fighter - Spain
• Eurofighter EF2000 - Germany
• British Aerospace Hawk Mk.66 - Finland

Element 3:
• General Dynamics F-16AM Fighting Falcon - Begium
• Lockheed Martin F-16C Fighting Falcon - Greece

Element 4:
• Lockheed Martin F-16CJ Fighting Falcon - USA
• Lockheed Martin F-16C Fighting Falcon - Turkey
• General Dynamics F-16AM Fighting Falcon - Romania
