I'm a screenwriter. I write for TV and film. Consuming as many stories as possible in all forms is kinda part of my job. I've seen and read so much stuff over the years. And I still have yet to find another story that makes me feel this much joy and makes my heart feel this full. Ten years ago, when I was deeply depressed and struggled to find the energy to get out of bed, One Piece was at times the only thing that kept me going. That weekly manga chapter was the only thing I was looking forward to. I can't begin to describe how much these goofy ass pirates mean to me. People don't believe me but I'm being 100% literal when I say that I love them more than some of my actual friends and family.

I love how Oda changes his formula with Robin. All of Alabasta we are wondering if Vivi will join, and then we say goodbye to her and immediately get surprised with Robin. I can understand being suspicious of her, but she won me over the second she tickled Chopper.

Igaram is to date one of the single most underrated and underappreciated characters of One Piece! He is so caring, inspiring, hilerious and precious 🥰 Just wanted to SPREAD SOME LOVE for IGARAM

"Why do we need an archaeologist?" 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀 Robin joining the crew is such a twist, especially since it happens IMMEDIATELY after Vivi doesn't join. We're right in the middle of being sad but understanding and coming to terms with the hole left on the ship, when Robin literally walks into the scene and sits down right in Vivi's place. Also congratulations on being one of the few reactors to this show who actually keep tissues by the monitor. Smart!

And now you know the beauty that is Bon Clay. The goodbye with Vivi, everyone with their arms in the air, that always makes me cry, without fail. It keeps happening, too. If Oda wants you to feel something, you will feel it. Oh, and eventually you will have what can only be considered a Pavlovian response to "We Are." It will give you goosebumps, it will pump you up. It will make you smile. You won't be able to help it.

The writing is SSS tier, for every opening arc, conflict, and goodbye-arc. Oda always puts something memorable. Glad you spoke about that
