I think the reason for the mismatch colors of the USBc port on the MagSafe cable is to provide a visual cue not to plug it into the MacBook's USBc port. People will do that.

The USB-C plug on the charging cable being white is perfectly fine imho. It fits the white power brick and you barely ever see it anyway (plugged in below your desk for example). Other than that, love this color and have always loved the MBA!

The thing I love about the midnight color ( at least on my Apple Watch Series 7) is in most conditions it looks black, but as soon as you take it in the pool or certain lighting it looks dark blue (From my use it’s most noticeable when under water)
