FIRST DRIVE & FINISHING TOUCHES! CHEAP BUDGET F100 CROWN VIC SWAP!

Published 2023-09-24
Next project on the channel that is really exciting for us, 1959 Ford F100 Long bed and 2010 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor chassis swap. In this video, it is a compilation of multiple 30 minutes a day videos of finishing touches knocking out the nitty gritty tasks that round out a shop truck build. We end this series with our first drive. This series of videos will highlight how to do this conversion as simple and cost effective as possible. We are shooting for $2000 initial budget to have a running driving shop truck. In the future, we will make improvements after we enjoy it for awhile. Also, you know me, this is staying patina!

This is one of my favorite truck conversions on YouTube. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if you posted more rolling videos, I like seeing this truck moving down the road. Metal fabricator for 30+ yrs, you're giving me a lot of inspiration, I've always wanted to do something like this. Your vids are a big help and make me think about stuff I didn't think about before.

In the computer world green is ground. I didn’t think anything of it. “If you can’t figure that out…. We’re all in trouble!” No joke right! Haha
  • This is my favorite patina truck. You did such a great job on it man! Killer!

Your crimping on the ring terminal is correct. Split goes to rounded area of the crimper, non split goes to the point to "push" the metal into the wire.

Hey brother, I’m Glen from a little North of Houston. Just wanted ya to know I have very much enjoyed watching your progress with this build. My dad was a machanic from WW2 on, and had two auto repair shops when I was a kid. He had an old 59 Ford pickup sitting in the back of the shop for years, well long enough for a tree to grow up through the engine compartment. Anyhow long story long, he put a 440 Chrysler engine in her, and painted her a bright gold. I loved that truck, but he sold it so we could take a vacation when I was 13. I was thinking about exactly what you are doing, and found your channel on YouTube.
