I love your channel. It’s so satisfying for a 71 year old man that can’t do a lot of what you do anymore.

Just when I was going to compliment you on your excavator skills I noticed he didn't have a beard! He really did a great job of giving you a nice, smooth drainage system for that side of your barn!!

I was born in a old house with a tin roof. My bedroom was on the top floor. When it rained, it would put me to sleep in no time. Loved it.

Your getting faster, smoother, and more confident with the excavator
  • Tell Bruno I said hello and keep doing what you’re doing Nathan.😊

2:45 I used to help my grandpa on the family farm before he passed. And when we did something that could have been done better, but was still good enough to work, he would say, "good enough for the girls we go with." I really enjoy seeing how you do things, and sometimes you give me a different way of looking at things. As long as it works and the people involved are satisfied, I don't think that is the "wrong way". Keep up the good work, sir.

Nathan, it's really looking good at the pole barn these days. Have you considered mixing sand & cement powder to put in a compacted path on the side of the sawmill where the sawdust will be discharging? It is a common construction technique to give a really stable surface if you aren't going to have a lot of heavy traffic and would give you a chance to create a pad that is easier to capture the sawdust, blow the area clean, and not have to worry about a muddy area if a hard rain blows in. A 3' wide path the length of the machine would be more than enough to keep that area cleaner and make it easier to remove the sawdust.
  • Busy as a beaver 🦫 making things happen. Absolutely can’t beat rain in a metal roof. You keep plugging away at it and you will get it done. Love my hickory on my smoker too !
  • The 12'x14' is a great idea and will save a lot of steps. The pole barn will be a blessing in many ways. Great to work under shade and gives you more options during rain storms. You could even do blacksmithing in a corner of the pole barn. Nice sounding rain on the roof. Your placing of the sawmill seems perfectly logical and as you continue sawing will verify its location.

You just got the drain done in time and nothing like rain on a tin roof very relaxing
  • @Kurgosh1
Wait, those guys put a 70' gutter in a 14 foot trailer? That's amazing. Whoever came up with that portable gutter factory is a genius.
  • @user-il9vt5nb6x
You might look into a rain barrel collection system for the pole barn, that way you will have water that could be used for the garden, chickens or whatever that needs water.

You ain't doing anything wrong! You are just doing it your way! Those negative Nancy's need to have a little couth and respect! God bless!🙏🙏☕☕
  • A pleasure to watch, Nathan, and the rain was a real treat!! From an old lady from Pittsburgh ⛈️ AND the meat looks delicious!!
  • @user-it4wo3gf3y
Sounds to me like there is going to be a barn dance for the neighborhood in the future 😂
  • @davebecker5236
Thanks for the video! Love your content. Every time I come downstairs to watch YouTube, my kids jokingly say, “Welcome to the sawmill friends.”
